We have shown in previous posts a few outside photos of our beautiful house in the Loire region where we would have our breakfast, snacks and dinners.
So, here are a few more showing the very comfortable and extremely well appointed interiors, starting with the living room.
The dining room.
The sitting area upstairs.
Vicki and Mario's bedroom.
Maggie's bedroom.
Alan and Michael's bedroom.
Here's Mario trying to cook something French.
Here's the resulting wascally wabbit dish with fresh mushrooms and peppers, whipped potatoes with crème fraîche, and an avocado mousse, proof that we did purchase some goodies in the local markets.
Our last evening meal under the porch in Meusnes.
But before leaving, Mario wanted to buy some local wine. Here Madame Bardon, our lovely neighbour, is showing him a sample of their production (Gamay and Cabernet Franc in red, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white, and assemblages for their rosé and bubbly).
Now, according to Michael who was there (but has limited understanding of the local French), Madame Bardon is explaining to Mario that what he wants to pay is clearly not enough...
And Monsieur Bardon adding that it is not the way to treat a 77 year old lady...
Still, after sampling several wines, we were happy to leave with a few bottles for the next leg of our travels. Luckily, we did not have to bring with us our empties for the week...
